I constantly wonder where celebrities get their fashion inspiration, and am not ashamed to say that I look up Miranda Kerr on Pinterest daily to try and imitate some of her outfits—that’s when my incredibly embarrassing Australian accent comes out (I’m normal, I promise). Usually I respond to celebrities’ fashion with jealousy—I mean who wouldn’t want to have Emma Stone’s wardrobe…and her life?—but then there are sad, scarring times when I see celebrities at their “ain’t-nobody-got-time-for-that” moments. Celebrities, please fire your stylists—they obviously haven’t left their underground caves.
Without further ado, I give you pictures that might burn out your eyes and make you hug your jeans and white T-shirts:
Rachel McAdams will always be America’s Sweetheart, but even she gets delusional sometimes. This dress is extremely cute, but the side boob? Really Rachel? Are you trying to imitate Sacha Baron Cohen’s green swimsuit? Keep some mystery girl! It’s not like you can’t afford the extra material for your dress. You did a movie with Channing Tatum, which obviously means that you are a zillionaire. Regina George would be disappointed.
I have a feeling that Miley Cyrus has many personalities (which is funny because on her show she played two characters who were the same person). Poor girl, she clearly took acting to an entirely different level if it affected her real-life being. Right now, she is studying birds for her role as Big Bird on Sesame Street. I used to admire her long, wavy brown hair, but her new platinum blonde pixie cut is blinding.
Can I just say that there is nothing wrong with this picture? I just find it funny that Rihanna looks exactly like Ariel. Besides the hair though, Rihanna and and the Disney mermaid strike no other resemblance. Rihanna is a spur-of-the-moment type of girl, while Ariel idly waits for guys to kiss her. Sometimes you just have to go for it!
Please tell me I’m not the only one that sees this similarity? The way Lea Michele’s makeup and hair work together remind me perfectly of the evil lion Scar. Her dress is not perfect either; I would prefer it a little more if the corset appeared over the rest of the dress instead of underneath it. I really need to calm myself down for a couple of seconds when I see her shoes, and I can’t really form any words to describe how much I want her to throw them away.
Katy Perry’s outfit is so bright. I actually like her hair because the color is pretty, but it gets old quickly. She is clearly committed to her music videos since she keeps representing California Girls. Personally, I don’t think lollipops are great inspiration—leave them solely for eating.
I promise I’m a nice person, and I understand that everyone has moments in which they break their mirrors and don’t have enough time to buy a new one. These are all fabulous people, even though I really want to ask Miley, “What are you doing with your life?” and Rihanna, “I hope you know what you are doing!” (You guys know what I’m referring to). Anyway, have a nice fashion friendly week! Keep your mirrors close.
